Amp For JL 10w6

Im about to buy a JL 10w6 in a stealth box for my car. Can somebody recommend an amp that will power this sub to its full potential?

Get a quality name-brand amp (NOT Pyramid, Kenford, Rockwood, etc.) that puts out as many Class-D watts as you can afford. I would recommend at least 300W RMS.

Re: Amp For JL 10w6

is that sub a Dual 2ohm or a Dual 4ohm sub. If its a dual D4 which i think it is you want a monoblock amp that can do around 400rms. For example http://sonicelectronix.com/item_2747.html is a nice phonenix gold, this would be an extremely nice amp http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLC5001 although i think its over priced. JL also makes nice amps. There is tons of other stuff out there

I was just looking around on ebay. The JL 500/1 looks like it would go good with the W6.

Re: Amp For JL 10w6

for only 1 almost anything. unless your getting a deal in all honesty i'd go with whatever fits in your budget. i ran them with pioneer premier and also two different ppi amps with very good luck but i ran 3 of them at the same time. for the most part an amp is an amp, just get what you can afford and check the specs. class d is definately a good way to go.
