Is this amp good enough?
I have a mtx 302 2 channel amp heres the specs
12.5 V RMS power
75x2 4 ohm
150x2 2 ohm
300 bridged into 4ohm
14.4v RMS power
120x2 4ohm
212x2 2ohm
425 bridged into 4 ohm load
Is this enough power to run 2 Alpine type R 12" subs? or should I buy the JBL 1200.1 amp?
also does this mean the mtx amp is stable to a 4ohm load or 2 ohm load??

The amp is stable to a 2ohm stereo, and 4ohm mono (bridged) load.
Id spring for the bigger amp. I put 2 Type R's on a 501BD, and I wasnt impressed at all. Maybe if the other shops and the customer were a little more educated, he could have gotten the right stuff. I had to run the amp @ 4ohm, instead of 2, so there was a lot less power going to them...
