Like I said...... I wasn't gonna name any names........ but US Amps is one of the most highly respected manufacters around. And that IS a fact. I would like to see anyone argue with that. Anyone?

Just let it be know that hifonics isin't THE BEST at anything.

they are great bang for the buck amps for sure, and the Crossfire amps are certainly getting to be better quality than they used to be... hell now they actually do the rated power, and don't melt down nearly as much (talking about the new 1000D compared to the old).

I still wouldn't put them in the same category as Avionixx, Arc, US Amps, Zapco, Sinfoni, Brax, Helix, Mc Intosh, Mmats... etc.

The biggest difference is that you now said "one of the best" vs. "the best". I'll agree. PPI is great...... but I think I would put them in the same catagory as the new Crossfire's. I don't think either of them are in the same catagory as Brax or McIntosh.

Chirst, I don't know where you guys pull out all these audio manufacturer names from. It seems like every audio post I read I never hear the same company name twice of these "mystical" high-end companies. Don't get me wrong, I'm not flaming you guys: I'm sure you know more about it than I do. (I only know about all the performance manufacturers ) Just seems amazing to me that there are so many high-end companies that I've never heard of and don't advertise or are well-known. Guess I need to read more car audio mags and less GMHTP.

The reason you don't hear the names of the boutique amps thrown around alot is because they are just that, stratoshperically priced amps that lend themselves to a uber-high end section of the market that doesn't want to have anything Mass Produced or Mass marketed. It's the same way when you get into audiophile home systems. You only recognize the names if you keep up with who's "in" with the "in crowd" so to speak. For most the amps are almost completely useless as they would do better with lesser components, more equalization and time spent on the install setting things up right to produce good soundstaging and imaging. Same reason you would buy an AudioM mid range and put it in the stock location, it doesn't make any sense.
