i have a 97 formula and i was wondering if i'm going to run into problems when installing an alarm w/ remote start. i heard of some problems w/ the bcm but i forgot. can anyone enlighten me? thanks

 

I don't know of any *problems* with the BCM, but you may be thinking of the BCM going to sleep and not being able to unlock the doors. Some people pulse the door trigger wire with unlock to wake the BCM up, but I prefer to just wire both doors as a 5-wire system for unlock. It's the proper way to do it, it's easy b/c both door motor wires are at the BCM, and this way you can keep the driver's door priority unlock feature.
