Alarm/keyless install tip

I've been working on a remote start alarm install on my camaro for a short while. most of its been done but j/ finishing some odds and ends.... I was having trouble getting the unlock to work via the remote....... i j/ had the pulsed signals from the module going to the appropriate wires, one orange/black one red/black... it would unlock if u hit the remote immediately but if u let the car sit, ( i guess the bcm, goes to sleep ) it won't unlock.... however i noticed if u open the door u can go and hit the remote and it will unlock the other door. SOO what i ended up doing is running an aux pulsed ground from the unlock button on the remote to the passenger door ajar signal to the bcm... its a black/white wire to the bcm coming from the passenger side door and there ya go... apparently we have a 5wire system, don't quite understand what that means. if somebody would write a how to on that i would love to see it. took me a while to figure this out, hope it will save people some time
