Alarm instalation guides

Hi, i just got the viper 791xv alarm system, and wanted to install it myself. was wondering if there are any online guides or schematics that would help me with this, thanks for the help.

here's a post i put up a while back I have access to DEI's (directed electronics) techsoft alarm wiring info and Scosche's disassembly info for removing speakers and decks.

if you got any questions just ask, ive done a few remote starts in fbody's done my 90 firebird and the most recent was a 99 T/A

You can also pick up wiring for vehicles here. If your vehicle isn't listed, you can go to the forum and either search, or ask. Also they have all the info you need to figure out how to wire it (single wire door locks, positive trigger, etc.).

does anyone know which wire is the the wire that detects if the door is open or not? i almost got the whole thing wires up but the alarm doesnt go off when i open the door. i read that it is the grey one behind the drivers side speaker and tried it but it didnt work. any ideas?? i can take a pic if you want.

look for a grey wire w/ black stripe behind the drivers kick panel. This wire will work for some cars.
