Question Air Bag Light...

air bag light just came on one day, and hasn't gone off since. I noticed it after a transmission swap (stock M6 to viper spec M6), and have no idea where to begin looking to fix it, other than the fuse box on the side of the dash. the air bag fuse is fine. any ideas???

Any chance you removed the steering coupler (linkage between the steering column and the steering rack) and the rotated the steering wheel? The ABS system as a harness inside the steering column that will break if the steering wheel is rotated more than approximately 1.5 turns in one direction.

The part looks like a small donut and it's located in your steering wheel behind the airbag. It has a cable that routes down the steering column and connects under the dashboard. Not sure if there's a step by step procedure on the internet but worth doing a search. It's commonly called the airbag clock spring as the cable is wound inside the donut like a spring.
