i was trying to hook an amp to the rear 8"s that i installed a while back, well, instead of putting the speaker wires from the amp to the 8's it went to the monsoon amp instead. the ****er started smoking and everything.

so my question is, how do i wire the speakers, to run just off the head unit? i was looking at the amp wiring diagram, could i just wire the speaker feed lines to the same speaker's return line?
