Aftermarket HU/ 5 speaker Bose

So with the 5 speaker Bose system is there an adapter I can purchase to run a aftermarket HU and still use the stock 5 speaker set up?
My stock HU is acting up and it's driving be nuts. I can't get reception with any radio stations. Already switched out the antena which didn't help at all. Thanks.

I did mine about 2 years ago, Crutchfield is your friend. I used an adapter and put in a Pioneer head unit. What I have been thinking about is a sub enclosure for the drivers side of the trunk area, kinda pricy.

PAC OEM-1

That's your best option I wouldn't trust anything doesn't have level adjustments to balance out the sound, as the BOSE system as has 1 Ohm speakers so just simply plugging in a harness is not the best match. The PAC OEM-1 is great as it has adjustments for the levels, is plug and play, and will even provide RCAs is you want to add an amp later on.

I used one for a long while till I got tired of the Factory Head Unit, and switched out all my speakers and went to full amps and a sub. I choose to re-wire the entire car at that point just cause it made more sense with all the amp wiring.

It has been a few years, but the adapter I got from Crutchfield did have level ajustment. The next step for me would be all new speakers/wiring/amp, how did your install go ?

Install of the PAC-OEM was simple as pie...

Install of Amps and speakers is a longer process, but not terrible, just time consuming. I did it myself, took me a weekend between pulling down front under dash panels, removing door panels, trim panels, etc... I also mounted a board to the Spare Tire mounts, and bolted my amps onto that as well as 10" stealth box install.

Basically if you have the cash and time it's 1000x better than the Bose Junk, I recommend it, but many folks are not that into audio to care between the cost, and time.
