Aftermarket Head Unit Issue

Installing a JVC head unit in my 96 Camaro. It has the bose installed factory sound system, and it seems that now I get no sound with everything hooked up through the OEM harness plug that I bought....I'm sure that there is an easy fix to this and it probably has to do with the bose system. Please help me out!

If you're running through the factor speaker wires, you're probably not powering up the factory amp.

It's been a year since I looked at mine, but I know I had to patch into the amp turn-on wire in dash with the head units antenna turn on -this means the antenna turn on will actually have two connections -one to the antenna as it should be in the harness, and you'll have to connect the amp turn-on as well at some point.

I don't recall which color the amp turn-on even is, but if I remember correctly, it'll be obvious because there will be a wire on the dash side, but not one coming off the harness on the head unit side.

Maybe someone that has already conquered this trouble on a 96 can chime in with more details.
