Question accessory power?

Hey fellas, i'm wiring a buncha stuff into my car and i need to find the easiest place to get accessory power, like power when the key is on. What i'm going to do is wire a relay into the cigarrette lighter adapter so that my radar detector doesn't drain my battery and buzz like a madman when i'm in grocery store parking lots. Also, i need an acc power for the power supply for the computer i'm putting in my car. Thanks in advance fellas.

Re: accessory power?

Pull the fuse box out of the side of the dash and splice into the wire coming out of the back of the "radio" or "acc" fuse. You can check them with a test light. Put the light on the exposed metal and the light should be off, turn the key on and it should come on.
Have fun, it's not difficult.

Drop the dash panel (it's easy) and wire to the pink wire in the main ignition harness. If you want to have power when the key is turned back wire to the brown wire. No relay requires.
