94 Camaro with Bose system problems

I hope someone can help me. I just bought a new JVC head unit along with an amp and 2 subs. The problems is, when I turn it up at a certain point it will fade in and out just barely but enough to bother me. Please help me. Is it a bad head unit or is it that damn Bose system?

Re: 94 Camaro with Bose system problems

If you are using the stock bose speakers then you need a bose headunit. Or replace the speakers. Bose only works correctly with other Bose equipment.

Will I have to replace the speaker wire also if I replace the Bose speakers? I was told at one time that I would have to

No, the wire has nothing to do with what head unit you use. Wire is wire is wire, does not matter what kind. If you want to replace it anyways, though, make sure it is the propper gauge (nothing insanely small).
