6x9 boxes
6x9 boxes
alright, i'm gonna be putting in my 10" mtx stealthbox, and my g-f just gave me her 2 6x9 boxes that i want to put on my back parcel shelf... should i point them;
1) facing the back
2) facing one another (into the middle)
3) facing upwards (dont wanna do, as they'll fall over more often)
4) facing forward?
also, would velcro hold these guys down... they're in carpeted boxes... i just dont wanna drill anywhere
thanks

Ian,
Don't use them just becasue you have them. Our cars are too nice to have ghetto looking speaker boxes in back like that.

so if they do nothing really good for the sound, i'll axe-'em
Do you have any power for them? If you aren't amplifying your 4 6.5s then do that first(or at least the front 2). Decks don't make any clean power regardless what the rating is. If you have some power for them stick em in and give em a listen. You can point them in any direction and listen to them before velcroing them. Most people will tell you rear fill is a waste of time, and to concetrate on the front stage, however I like it loud and my rear speakers sound good to me. Your ears are the only ones who know what you like. I have had misc. speaker boxes stuck in almost every part of my car at one time or another, even in the front. It's about function, not style right, getto-fab.
