4th Gen Trans Am Owners

Is it difficult to remove this orange backing on the gauges I hear about? Have yet to pull the gauges out and look ....just wondering if someone has already done this and can give me pointers?

UPDATE: Just got pulling the circuit board off the gauges. It is impossible to "remove" the orange part as it appears to be part of the actuall gauge face. So, off to find a Camaro gauge cluster/HVAC controls
