Question EDIT: 4ohm 700-800Watt amp?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 2ohm stable 700-800 watt amp? I'm trying to find something that doesn't cost too much.... reputable internet dealers will work for me.

I'd recommend the JBL 600.1. They've been tested to about 700W RMS@2ohms. You can get one from http://www.ikesound.com

The cadence A5hc and the MTX 6500D will also work very well.

Grrr... not a 2ohm.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I found out from the guy that the sub he is going to be running is a Kicker S12L7 with two 2ohm voice coils.

So I guess I actually need to find an amp that will do ~750WRMS at 1 or 4 ohms.

Any new suggestions?

Jbl will still work they are stabble to 1 ohm they just don't put out any more than 2 ohm. Another recomendation is MMats 700.1.

since that is the case i would either get the JBL 600.1 (at 1 ohm), or the Hifonics Z600. If he wants to step up to a bigger amp (his subs will take it) he can go with an Ampman Revolution (ampmanaudio.com) it is probably one of the best subs for the money, otherwise the JBL 1200.1, Cadence A7 HC, Crossfire 1000D, or if he can wait for a month and a half the new Elemental Designs NINe.1 is sure to be one of the best he will get.

Good sites to buy from... well these may not be the cheapest, but they are renowned as the most reliable....
Ampmanaudio.com
edesignaudio.com
TMS-Electronics.com
Woofersetc.com
Soundillusions.net (online store section)
ikesound.com

good luck
