Anyone who can point me to some pics of - or tell me - how to install speakers in the doors in a '79 (or 2nd gens in generel) Camaro without having to cut the metal?
As far as I can tell this can't really be done, at least not if the speakers are a bit larger than "too small".

Also: Where do you put the tweeter without destroying the interior?

 

You really only have two options.

1) cut sheet metal mount them
2) make up some fiberglass pods and drill them into the sheet metal.

You might wanna think about kick panels as the can be a bit less invasive.

 

Not sure if you have the same triangle piece in the 2nd gen, but would a pair of these work?
