It's been done, but it's a pretty custom job. Basically, you'll need to modify the bezel that surrounds the radio (or build a custom one).

I've not done it myself, but I'd like to someday, and I have some links bookmarked that look like they'd be useful:

Good luck!

Those are all LS1 style dashes. I was hoping to see the double din install in an early 4th gen dash

There is a 2 din bezel for the 4th gen Firebird. Don't know if it can be made to work in a Camaro. You can see them at 6litereater.

Yea I saw that but as stated before it is for an ls1. I would rather not change my dash.

Re: 2 din in a 1995

im with ya man ive been wanting to do this for awhile. problem is theres alot of plastic that would need to be cut out of the way, and the dash bracket that goes around the head unit would have to be cut bigger.. I just dont know the best way to go about doing a clean job.

if anybody has any ideas/info lets do this!

It can be done. I did this in my SS and it was a lot of work. You have to cut a good section out of the dash and build some brackets to hold the radio in place... Here is some pics of mine done.

Here is mine. The radio bezel has been reshaped and the storage under the radio has also been reshaped.

Re: 2 din in a 1995

Ok guys, here are the results. I hope this is not a problem with the mods on here but I don't have any other way to post. This company is the originator of th 2 din for ls1 guys. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/stereo...l#post14795312 Enjoy
