What have you done for your Camaro?

We are just over one month into the summer so far. What have you done to your Camaro this year? We discuss.

2012 Camaro Production begins. https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=822420

We have an e-mail and a voicemail for the week. Don't forget to get your voicemails in as we pick one person each month and give out a prize.

Episode 307 brings us to talk about the 307 engine from GM.

While at the BBOMG event in Oshawa this year, we did very quick interviews with some Camaro owners there. Each week we will play one, starting this week.

Re: Camaro Podcast #307 - What have you done for your Camaro?

The crossram 302's in the 69 z28's were rated at 290hp but were dyno'd closer to 375hp!! I know of one guy who built a factory race car out of the HD parts you could buy from GM back in the 60's. It was a 69Z and he built it with Penske racing parts and the motor was a crossfire 302 that was factory original besides a cam, it threw down 485hp at the crank! Pretty amazing for the little mouse motor of it's day. Then you've got the 305's of the 80s that were only producing between 170hp and 215hp. Even the big block 427's put in Corvette's in the mid 70's weren't putting down much more than 200hp. Crazy to think of how far we've come with this technology. We have 6.2L small blocks putting out 430hp from the factory and with a supercharger that same motor (with some other factory mods) in the ZR1 is putting out 620hp! The 5.0 in the new mustang is putting down 412hp. The possibilities are endless as long as we're able to continue advancing.
