Z07?
Re: Z07?
Seeing all of the 70k dollar Z06 vs 140k dollar European exotic comparisons has really annoyed me recently... I think if the blue devil makes it out they will have no choice but to use it in future comparisons since it's even more comparable to the others price-wise... it'll be fun to see how bad they get destroyed in the comparisons.

That car will probably go back in time if you push the throttle all the way down.
So how much more displacement can you really get out the the LS7? I thought the rumors for the Blue Devil motor were for less displacement. I also wonder if the car is really supposed to just be a C6R with the rear wing removed, street interior, and no decals.

Re: Z07?
You know I know very little about internal engine stuff, I have never built a motor, I have no idea about what it takes to build a motor BUT I have to call BS on this part:
We know the bore isn't going to get any larger, we know that if Chevy were going to run some serious boost on the LS7 the cylinder walls would likely need to be thicker to make it stronger. The stroke could possibly go bigger but I doubt it would be much larger. Blower yes, likely with less displacement, by all accounts anyways.
or this limited-production Vette, which might be called the Z07, Chevy will increase the LS7's displacement and bolt on a supercharger to bump output by 145 hp.

Eek
Z06.R
is the worst name i've heard yet for this car. I mean, it will still have to have a real RPO, which isn't going to be 4 characters. So why would they 'name' it with a 'lesser' car's RPO with an R added?
There's no precedent for that i can think of, so i'm hoping that was just some total random / wrong guessing by teh author, but just the thought of it is wrong.
This Corvette has been known within GM as the Blue Devil, after the mascot of GM CEO Rick Wagoner's alma mater, Duke, and also as the Sting Ray, but we think they'll go with Z07, or maybe Z06.R.
