Wow, I didn't know GM was so hardcore about the Z06. I knew they'd go ***** to the wall with the drivetrain and suspension. But to offer a chassis made of superior materials just for the Z06, that cool.

 

well, then you have the prototype LMP class. Caddilac was slaughtered.. Audi's pretty much rule supreme there.

at the American Le Mans race here in Portland, OR just a few weeks ago, I saw the Audi #1 LMP1 car lose control during braking and spin its rear right into the rear of the #3? C6R.. The C6R car stopped in a safe spot in the middle of the chicane.. the when it was clear, left and kept racing for the rest.. It was insane. The LMP car had to pit and get repaired.. Later, the whole rear body panels and stuff fllew off, which cause the Saleen S7 (that lead the GT1 class in front of the C6R for the first 29 laps) to wreck..

The Audi #2 LMP car was like behind the Dyson Lola? LMP car, unti literally a few laps towards the end, where the Dyson car lots fuel pressure from running out of fuel and the Audi car sneaked on by... amazing..


Loved the sound of the Vettes and Saleen's rumbling by, out of a turn.. very different than all the other cars out there.
