Yet Another 5th gen thread: Maybe its just me, but...

I'm begining to think I'd love to see the Solstice developed into the next gen F-body....

That's without a doubt the best looking shot of the Solstice I've seen .

Wow, if the Camaro doesn't come back or if it's too expensive, this maybe the alternative I would look at, assuming it's cheaper. Looks fun, almost go-kartish. As long as it handles like it's on rails, I'd buy it.

GM needs this car. It's too bad the wheels will be much smaller than the concept. Other than that it looks great!

Wow...

Just think of what an LS1 and a T-56 would be like in that machine.

The same thing as a nicely tuned turbo ecotec and T-56

I'd have to see some pics of the front - that car could almost pass for a BMW Z4 from the profile.........

BAH.

Remember, anything you can do to the Ecotech, I can do to the LS1....

LS1 with twins or a big single and a T-56.

Methinks that with a wheelbase that short and 700 or so horsies under the hood that it might be a handful... but a REALLY EXCITING HANDFUL.

I think this is related to the MX5 Miata thread we were running (possibly still ARE)... Anyway, if they could engineer LS1 with adequate weight distribution, sure. Somehow I think that Solstice with monster V8 at the front will not be balanced.

They could put T56 in the back like they did with C5, but is there enough room for that?

Just stick to turbo Ecotec, PacerX. Greed is a bad trait, bad!

Screw the Ecotec, isn't it the same engine going in the Saturn Ion Redline coupe? I think a HF V6 should suffice enough. Either the 3.2 or the 3.6 w/ a turbo! Wonder if the HF V6's actually fit in the bay though...

Love that color! Is the solstice gonna be 'vert only or will there be a hardtop version too? Not a big fan of 'verts myself...

Just my opinion, but I think it looks like they still have some of ol Aztek engineers around. Good start, but still needs work.
