As to betting the farm....... Buick dropped the LeSabre name....HUGE equity.......and their volume car........you can write it in the family Bible that there's a lot at stake with this car.

I'm 28 and just waiting for the Lucerne to be released, so I can go buy one.
I've got a modded 99 Z28 in the garage and my wife has a Jeep Liberty. I want a nice big cruiser for work. I can't afford a Caddy and I have looked at everything at the Chevy and Pontiac dealers, and honestly there is NOTHING that I want from either one in the way of cars. GTO? Already have the Camaro. Solstice and Vette are the only things I really dig at either shop and ones not affordable and ones not practical for work.
I had a 85 Buick Lesabre coupe, collectors edition. I let it go for $500.00. The interior was still PERFECT. Everything worked but the AC. SHe was rusty underneath, but the body still looked good. They vinyl top looked good. I kick myself for letting that car go. It rode like a Caddy and it had style.

I think, oddly enough, '80s B, C and G bodies are going to get very popular down the road. Think about it...they were wildly popular in their day, they were the last "traditional" RWD/V8 cars aside from the '91-'96 Caprice, a ton of them are still floating (literally) around, and they were decent looking cars for their day (ok..a 98 was pretty ugly, but otherwise...). I already want an '85-'88 MC SS someday if I have the room for one (after the IROC and the Formula purchases, of course), and would love an old early '80s Caprice 2 door for a driver. Consider that if you got an old Classic Landau model, you'd likely get every power option in the book, with the F41 package the ride was pretty stable and handled ok, and you could always add 9C1 parts to it to tighten it up even more. Throw an LT1 or a TPI 350 under the hood, and you'd have a pretty comfortable sleeper
Ok, I'm weird, but anyway...you heard it here first. '70s GM cars are getting more pricey, and I'd be willing to bet '80s ones will get in demand more as they age. They sure as hell last longer than their '70s counterparts!
