Would you buy a Solstice?

What do you guys think? 240 horses and 2800 pounds wouldn't be too bad from a 4-banger. I think it would be refreshing to see a $25,000 rear-wheel drive roadster that had some power to back up it's looks.

The looks on the concept aren't quite right for me. Other than that I love the theme and mission of the car itself.

Would I buy one? As a 2nd car...maybe if I couldn't get a Camaro in 2007. But the looks still put me off.....We'll see.

If I could fit my 6 foot 5 *** in one with comfort, then hell yeah! I love that car. I'd love to throw on an aftermarket turbo, some bolt-ons and have that lil car flying. Not one thing I dislike about it.

I like it and the idea. Heck if it already has its own message board then its doing good!

Will I get one? Well I'd have to see. It would make one heck of a commuter car! Keep the V8 gas hogs at home.

While I like it Ok, I'd probably buy a used C5.

I definately would, i love this thing inside and out.

BTW, would GM's I-5 fit in it? I think that could be a good car for it.

...ah...good point....
Z06's should be down to around that same price range by the time a Solstice ever sees a dealership...

From: Salt Lake City,
It wouldn't be as fast as my car but with me putting so many miles on my cars a lighter more nimble car would be fun. The S2000 is kind of an ugly little car with some *****. The Solstice would perform better with much better looks and heck, it's only $25k!

Having a 350h/p F-Body is great but I never ever get a chance to race anyone. It's like driving on the freeway with a million other Honda Accords and Toyota's.

The ecotech needs to be able to make some huge numbers with little effort. This cars drivetrain needs to be like the Neon SRT. Big numbers stock and even bigger numbers (factory backed) for little money. I want a $300 stage one kit from GM that puts this thing around 300 factory backed hp. This car should be a direct attack on the s2000 and its fan base. This could be the best import fighter yet amoung the younger crowd.

Umm, yeah I would buy one for sure.

From: Salt Lake City,
GM broke the 4 cylinder speed record to show what can be done with the Ecotec. What was it 220 miles per hour, that's huge from a 4-cylinder.
