Would there be a market?

The only "supertrucks" that have been on the market recently have been full size like lightnings and ram srt-10's. Do you think there would be a market today for trucks like the syclone and typhoon? I would love to see something like that come out again.

Re: Would there be a market?

considering the amount of modded S-10's I see everyday at school, there is a hell of a market for performance wussy trucks, even if small trucks are useless IMHO

Re: Would there be a market?

yea, even i might get a truck if it was something colorado sized
i can't really stand driving huge work trucks (do it everyday)
they're just too big for me really and they take up too much space i guess
but a colorado with a v8...

Re: Would there be a market?

Trucks are the fastest growing segment in automotive industry. I can't quote numbers, but most people nowadays dont use them for trucking (most of them get washed and waxed, ironically).

With the growth of this segment, there will be a growth for performance/"elite" models.

I actually think the market is shifting back to cars IMHO.

If they build it, they will come.

GM needs to shoehorn in a LS2 into a Colorado. Make it availbe in 2WD, auto or 6 speed, sport suspension only. But make it availbe with the regular, extended, and crew cab. And make it to where stuff like leather, sunroofs, 6 disc CD changers, etc are optional.

Re: Would there be a market?

Id defently buy a typhoon if it was made...
My GF wants a suv with 4x4 so she can feel high and secure... I want anything that has some performance but dont want it to be to big.

The perfect thing for me would be a little SUV with a big engine. Everyone would be happy. But it has to have 4x4 or AWD. Thats the bottom line for me.

If it has just rwd or its a pick up with only 2 seats then it is totally useless in my situation.

Here is hoping for a performance practical 4 seater suv/pickup.

BTW, I think there is a small chance that the new nissan xterra and frontier might be available with a version of the titan's V8.... just what id be looking for. Can anyone confirm?

I've never read that, but I do know the Xterra comes with a 4.0 liter six cylinder engine with 265 hp, 284 lb/ft. of torque.

Re: Would there be a market?

Colorado SS should get the LS2 in 2wd ZQ8 with every cab style. Offer it with regular LS options, let leather and all the high end options be optional. The LS2 should add $3000 to the price of a ZQ8.

GMC Syclone should have AWD and a Turbo I5, short or ext cab only.

I agree, I see Zeta pushing this trend in the near future

To bad the trail blazer is a big suv... probably out of my price range to. Will it be 4x4 or awd?

To bad the colorado will only be rwd... would be to much of a pain in winter for me to consider it. DOH!

Re: Would there be a market?

The reason I say make it RWD only is to keep costs down. If its 4WD or AWD, they'll have to engineer a new system to handle all of the torque and hp from the V8. Of course they could be working on something like this for the Zeta cars already
