Would SSR be cooler if........

Perhaps they should offer a removeable hard top. That way you could still have a convertible, but with a little less weight. I also think it would help if they offered a couple of optional wheels, maybe one set in chrome. I personally like it pretty well but the wheels are just kind of bland to me. And of course more power would always be a plus, especially for a fairly heavy vehicle.

I like the retractable top . A hard top would look equally as cool though too . The only thing I really think they got wrong with the SSr is the lack of HP/Tq , and whaaaa.....no avail. 6 speed
Never thought Id say this , but ever since I saw a few of these in person I think their really cool looking as they are .

If the SSR had a 6 spd manual and more HP, I would go down to my Chevy today and trade my Z28 in for one. (Probably yellow or red.)
I love everything else about the car/truck.
But then I did once own a 1951 Chevy pickup.

All of those people asking for a T56 obviously haven't been paying attention to The American Revolution ads
But, yea, it needs something more than a garden-variety 5.3 under the hood. With everything that's available in the GM parts bin, I'm greatly disappointed.

After seeing the ads and seeing it at an autoshow, I dont think it could be cool no matter what they do. but thats ok bc I'm certainly not their target market, whatever that may be.
However, a boatload of horsepower always makes something look alittle more appealing (lack of which is probably where most of my opinion of it comes from). As does a T56. But as for what the thread is about, a hardtop might look fairly good on it

What would make it cooler? A 6.0, a 6 speed, a hatchback, t-tops, sleek coupe styling and a price of under $30k. Oh wait, that's a 5th gen (except for the hatch ). Guess the one we want we have to wait for

The SSR does have a nice sounding exhaust. They also have plenty of head room-in fact I would guess that even Shaq might fit in one. Maybe GM could do a Laker edition model.
The dealer I work for has sold all 5 SSR's that were in stock so far. It seems that maybe people have spring fever as most of them have sold in the last few weeks. Anyone that wants one, still expect to pay a premium.
