I dont think it would sell to well. Look at the Subaru Baja (them both being car/trucks), although i dont know any sales figures for it, i've only seen about 1 a month tops. I see nearly 10 times as many Ferrari's than that.

I'd take one.A SS with at least 350hp.and the price should be around $26,000.Chevy better make it quick(around 2006)though,a lot of us can't wait till 2007-8 for a new Camaro and that new Mustang is looking good.

I'm quite an El Camino fan (as you might imagine), but I have to say, I really, really don't like the stylling. The Ute just looks awkward to me.

The thing I've noticed about the Holdens that makes them look a little awkward is the massive rear quarter panel, and more particularly the space between the beltline and the top of the wheel well. It's the same on the Monaro/GTO.

Sure, a modern El Camino will find an audience among a sliver of enthusiasts. It may even find an audience with handymen and contractors...who may also be enthusiasts. But I'd say, that's about it. It probably won't find a following as a "work truck". A Colorado or Silverado would probably be cheaper to buy and have the ability to do more work.
Which leaves the El Camino as the boutiquey halo vehicle.......like SSR.

if gas wasn't so insane i would like to get one of those with a BBC, i could even put my bike in the back. but GM would dull down the styling and make things like the wheels insane options having the car cost 30k. all of them are ugly except this one.

You realise that those pics are of the V-Body Utes??
Zeta body Utes will be the ones that will be shipped over..
Also on the the whole "why would anybody buy one?"....alot of tradesmen here use them as their work car...they don't need a huge petrol guzzling beast like a F-150 and cars/wagons just don't have the space...
