Re: Work in progress. 5th gen interior concept

I'd like to see a GPS navigation screen integrated in the center. I'm not going to have a 2007 Camaro if it doesn't have GPS. Can you do that?

I like #2 a little better than the first one. I like the fact that the vents have a little shape to them and also the dash looks a little better. And I love the Ferrari type shifter gate, will never happen, but its still cool!

i agree the second one is much better. i still think it needs a full set of analog gauges though. i wouldnt want to cycle through 6 presets to check my fuel level.

Re: Work in progress. 5th gen interior concept

sorry, its not doing anything for me..

Analog guages will help immensely..

I like having my HVAC controls "direct", with veritcal sliders for temp, and ***** for fan control.. don't want to be searching for buttons and wondering how many more times i have to hit it.

There's no reason for gated shifter like that.. if anything, it makes shifting even harder.

Yea and the two rectangular vents plus the cd slot, make a funny looking robot face too..

its not bad, but it doesnt stand out. looks sorta mustangish, especially the little bit you can see of the passenger side.

Can you add bicycle pedals so I can still drive when I'm out of gas?

day time running lights on new GM cars/trucks can be turned off by putting the light switch **** to off or "O". They have 4 settings off/auto/park/on

Shift light should never be on a sports car, that is what the tac is for. Unless you mean the kind of light that comes on right before redline for drag racers. In that case I can't see GM putting that in.

Yeah, I think he meant a real shift light, not the idiot light. That would be a cool feature, but I highly doubt GM would do it cuz then in essence they would be advocating drag racing.

The one that lights up when the computer or whatever determines that its time for you to shift, so you can get good fuel economy or whatever. Its just a little like light that says shift thats in the gauge cluster

It's generic, nothing special or muscular there. It also has the same rasied section over the gauges and whatever that stops you from seeing your hood.

Those type of light were actually in cars even before the computers took over.

For example early 80's VW's had a light which indicated when you should shift to next gear. Mid-80's Corollas had a "Power" and "Economy" lights. At least in Europe, that is...

I think they operated based on vacuum...
