Woah!! Z06 Carbon Limited Edition.
The Z06 looks WAY better than the ZR1. I'm happy to have the functionality of the ZR1, but they should have kept the 18/19 sizes IMO.
Perhaps the front 19s are needed to clear the monster 15.5" ZR1 rotors (which are probably overkill, but if they are lighter than the standard Z06 brakes and help make for better 'Ring times for bragging rights, I guess that's cool).
From a styling standpoint, however, the Corvette body is too small for 20s. The thick Camaro looks hot on 20s. Challenger SRT8s look hot on 20s. Mustangs look hot on 18s or 19s.
The Vette just doesn't look as good with that much wheel, IMO.
They should have stayed with the 18/19 sizes (but made them wider to match the ZR1's width). The tire itself (the compound and design) is what was holding the Z06 back, not the size.

He commented that his big brake/small wheel combo was problematic in pit-lane because of the road pebbles that were scrubbed up by the tires used to get caught up between the wheel and the caliper. He would sometimes hear a noise of the pebble cutting through the wheel rim. Whenever that happened, he had to stop driving, get out and remove the stuck pebble ... otherwise his wheel may have prevented him from driving the car back home! PITA!
Food for thought but there are non-aesthetic reasons why bigger wheels are better with bigger rotors.
The only thing that could have made this car better would be the exposed carbon fiber roof that the ZR1 has.
And while on that subject, I feel that on the ZR1, there should be an option to have the roof painted. I prefer the exposed look myself, but some people like my Dad prefer having it painted body color. For his C6, he has both Victory Red and the black polycarbonate see-through roof panels. I prefer the black and he prefers the red. I would bet the same with the ZR1.
And I also think that more color options should be available for the Corvettes since it is a premium car for GM.

If you can afford a ZR1 i think think you would have an issue finding a premiun body shop to paint the roof for ya...

oh and *drool* i am still drooling over this car...
And besides, a bunch of folks (like my Dad) prefer a car to be 100% how it came from the factory.
I believe that will likely be an option on 2011 Z06 if ordered with the carbon fiber body RPO that is the pieces offered on the Z06 Carbon.
BTW, the clear used on ZR1 is more expensive than paint..
