But the Corvette is more profitable overall. The Corvette also charges a substantial premium for each of the models above the base Corvette, which is itself profitable.

Great time to be a Corvette fan. I'd probably opt for the ZO7 equipped Z06 over a ZR1 if I had the money.

I would add to this that most of this stuff they are using for special edition Vettes are already-developed pieces. Grand Sport has the body and suspension bits already used on Z06. This special Z06 uses pieces from ZR1.

IF Chevy is going to do a Camaro Z28, they will use the engine from the CTS-V but must develop suspension packages specifically for it, without the luxury of charging huge prices for it like they do with Z06/ZR1 (not that the Z28 will be "cheap" by any means...)

When sales are soft, it's not a bad idea to adjust product packages to encourage folks to pull the trigger and purchase a vehicle that is closer to their personal taste.

As fo Camaro? It's the first year and maybe folks don't account for that in their thinking. C6 will be looking at year 6 of availability, and that can make a difference.

Camaro has had a couple of packages, though, such as Bumblebee edition and the Synergy Green offering.

2011 will see the Camaro 'vert and, perhaps, other goodies...

What people would like to see in a Camaro package might be an inspiration to make it known in the Deciple get together thread.

It couldn't hurt.

Well, as Groucho Marx would say, I am suspect of any club which would have ME as a member.

I don't care for any of the ones with automatic transmissions, and while I'm sure I would love driving one, I really don't want a base C6. Bare minimum, it needs to be a Z51 / Grand Sport to get me drooling.

Seems to be a touchy subject. I've had some of my posts deleted on that too.

I'm not sure what that would have to do with my believability.

That's nothing I know anything about... I don't have editing capability to any posts other than my own.

Oh, it's certianly no reflection on you personally......it's just that unless you're on the 'right' side of the debate, things tend to get lost in the interweb.....
