Of course, this could be one of those surprise collector cars if only for the "uniuqe" design of the interior.

Brings me back to my high school days... when a friend of mine and a new one of these GTs fully loaded.... I think is was an 87 or 88 model. We felt like we were crusing around in the space shuttle... with all the gizmos. The only difference between the pictures above is that my friend's car had the fully digitial dash. Maybe you're right... a potential collector car in the future???

 

Thats sad, the first thing I thought was PONITAC! Without even knowing what kind of car it was. Soon figured it out, and sure enough...

 

Wow, a stick shift Grand Prix, thats one option that should've stuck around.

 

Multi-function switches would have done those cars a world of good.

GM had intergrated buttons on the steering wheel then, wtf happend?

 

That steering wheel is crazy.

 

That's actually a pretty damn fun car to drive. When I first started at the dealership in Fall '00, we used to get a few '91-'93 GP GTP coupes with that interior in on trade...a couple had sticks What fun cars they were with 210hp (DOHC 3.4s)...0-60s were around 7 flat IIRC.

Yeah, dash's were funky at night, but man those cars loved to be driven hard with that 5 speed. I almost boughta '94 GTP when I graduated high school back in '98. A paper route customer of mine (damn, I feel OLD saying that...) bought it new from my dealership...had only 12k on it in '98. She only wanted $13k for it, which was a steal for a GTP with no mileage on it. But I decided to keep my RS (I had just gotten it as a gift from the parents 3 weeks prior)...so I was a helluva lot slower, but at least I looked cool doing it

Thankfully, '94 had the new design dash that was extremely similar to the '97-'03 GP dashes...

 

That is one optioned out car........

 

I was recently looking at an old issue of Autoweek I have and that very car was featured. The interior made me shudder.

 

I had an 88 SE and an 89 2 door that looked very similar to that. The 89 was dead reliable and I sold it with 170,000 miles on it.

 

Tell me about it. I would love to see what my car could do with a 6 speed hooked up to the L67.
