About the only thing i'd say is that the next gen should appeal to the masses, more so than the late 4th gens. It MUST appeal to the young and old, men and women, as well as non-performance and performance minded individuals. Its appeal is what made the current Mustang so successful. Make every model and trim diserable (in it's own way). Speaking of models and trims, throw in a middle car, and an extra v8 option. And most importantly, wrap everything up in a clean attractivce body. If executed right, i don't see why there wouldn't be a camaro for almost everyone (assuming they're in the market for a sporty coupe).

Not that I like Saturns that much, but if you wanted something different you could add a third door(suicide style), and just put one seat in the back, tilt it a little and you could market the car in a little differently. And who knows, the novelty of having only one seat in the back might appeal to some people. They need to bring the Camaro back. I have driven F-Bodies my entire life and if they were a little more practical, there's a chance more people would buy them.

I guess you're right, I doubt people would notice the differences between the Volkswagen Toureg and Porsche Cayanne. Hell, people probably don't even know that VW owns Porsche. However, problem with Sigma is that Cadillac doesn't want to share any bit. Cadillac is top priority at GM right now, as they were able to convince to higher ups to share the Vette platform for their XLR roadster.

"Third doors" create ugly body seems, awkwardly shaped C-pillars, and just dont belong on a car like a Camaro... IMO.

No... and HELL NO! I really could care less if it appeals to more people. The Camaro should remain a 2+2!

I haven't had time to read every post all the way through, so I'm sorry if I'm just repeating someone else.
I think the Camaro should continue to evolve much like the Corvette has. I think the Camaro should have styling cues that remind us of Camaros from the past, much like the Corvette does.
It won't appeal to everyone, but I don't think GM will be happy unless it appeals to the majority.

While I do like the retro look, I don't think it will appeal to people for very long and it will again become a nitche vehicle with a very limited fan base.

I agree with 3SuperSports. I like the retro look. My favorite camaro all time is a 69 camaro. Then the f-bodies(93-97) mainly. But i don't think we should go to retro because i don't think it is a look that will last. Then we would be in this same situation all over again. I think it should evolve also. But have some of the looks of the old. Truely i don't care to much though. As long as it looks good and performs good then i will buy it. Just make sure it is faster then the mustang GT. Let the Cobra go after the vette. The vette needs something to beat anyways. Hopefully it stays that way. Also i think they should keep the packages sort of the same way they have now. With the SS as the top of the line. Make the car a little more practical, but don't forget the cars true haritage which is to perform. Also for the love of god keep it a 2+2.
