How about "All Camaros Have Competition Stripes" ??

I see this incident as more evidence that the FBody went away due to Union pressure, and the need to close production facilites.

Yes & no. The plant is being closed because it's an expensive plant to operate, underutilized, & GM is changing to multiple carlines in all their automotive plants.

Also, you can't exactly tell a group that you are closing their plant because of poor sales of the car they produce, and then let leak that you are putting together a replacement......especially BEFORE you actually close the plant.

Some new news may be comming this fall.

Yep, poor Mark got hit with lots of emails. I guess I can take the blame there.

The Camaro is alive still I promise, a full email box is not enough to deter development.

I wonder if that causes a stink inside GM maybe a few other execs emails addresses would get people talking inside GM about the Camaro and secure better funding. Mark maybe you should allow your alter ego to tell what the cause really needs. Sorry about your email

By the way if you don't think market analysts aren't scrutinizing and profiling everything on this site then you have another thing coming. You guys get profiled just like the guys in 350Z.

Do not post someone else's personal information like that here again or you will be asked to leave this mjessage board and not come back. If he wanted his WORK e-mail address made public, he would have made it public. It is not in anyone else's place to give it out, good intentions or not.

Now, instead of working on a 5th gen, he (and others) have to deal with people mail bombing them.

On that note, I would also like to say if you noticed how GM's email address naming works, dont get any bright ideas. Alot have been changed to include extra letters and such. The really important people like Bob Lutz have thier emailed filtered, so sending mail to him would be like sending it right to his delete bin.

If GM wanted to know how we felt about a new Camaro dont you think they would ask?

Cool

Guys & gals........if you stop and think a minute....we are extremely lucky!! We have our own "spokesman" for what we like & dislike about the next Camaro....Red is out nearly EVERY weekend (on his own time) seeing, hearing, listening, asking these very questions.

What GM doesn't seem to have the same grip on is what the 'majority' (read V6 owners) want in their next Camaro.
