why the 5th gen will be everything i ever wished for
why the 5th gen will be everything i ever wished for
this is a pic from the truck not too long ago.

now doesn't it sound reasonable, and very cool, that GM has used these accessories in a concept!? i think that is the coolest steering wheel i have every seen. i would put that in a ford if i owned one. The gauges are really cool especially a factory tac that size. The seat belts are also what i like. i don't care for the crome shift **** but maybe someone else likes that type of thing. i wouldn't want the crome pates on the pedals but like i said, that might be someone else thing.
Notice this, the speedo goes up to 160. isn't that the projected top speed of camaros (even though some can go faster) all of this gets me really excited.
ps does anyone know what that thing is behind the shifter?
and if you look at this pic

look at the mirrors, i think those would go well on the 5th gen aswell.

Ummm yeah... That thing makes my eyes bleed inside and out. It's way too boxy, looks like the ScionPoX, and I'm not going to force myself to be happy about another truck bone thrown to all of the remaining GM performance enthusiast.
That interior doesen't impress, me, ok its got racing trim like they have on race cars. Now I'm impressed, throw on an aluminum wing and some neon.... It's still the same frumpy interior on every other chevy truck that pales in comparison to most of its competition.
If anything makes me hope for a decent 5th gen its the C6, and this the C6 ain't. The last thing we need is a Camaro that hops on the bandwagon of everything else in automotion thats hot right now, aluminum cabins and such. Fugly, and doesen't deserve to be in the same sentence as any Camaro.

That truck was made by the same guys that made the woodward gto... it doesn't really dictate where GM is going or anything about future products really. Just some guys having fun. Also as far the gauges/steering wheel is concerned, there just aftermarket parts. Steering wheel would never make it for obvious reasons (air bag) - gauges are autometers etc.

I would be really upset if the interior of any GM product came out looking like that. Any Joe Schmoe can replicate that dash with a piece of fiberglass and a Summit Racing catalogue. I doubt the steering wheel would ever see production in any car due to its lack of beign able to hold an airbag.
