AC/DC - Back in Black, Jimi Hendrix- Voodoo Child, Golden Earring- Radar Love, Steppenwolf- Born to be Wild, The Chambers Bros.- Time Has Come Today, Queen- We Will Rock You...

My obscure band reference....Big Black, Racer X. Emphasis on the part were he says "I need a little more speed..."
Or how about White Zombie, Black Sunshine only change it to a Camaro instead of a Mustang.
Final "Way to heavy to ever be used in any ad" suggestion. Deftones, Be quiet and drive (Far Away).
I guess I need to cut down on the coffee.

Thinking practically, I'd suggest Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way". Its a good rockin song, thats not obscure or won't alienate consumers. Another good one would be Filter's "Best Things In Life" "You know the best things in life aren't for free!"
I remember the title of the Road and Track article when they tested the 2001 ZO6 - "The Empire Strikes Back" I thought that was great.
They should definetly use the "Imperial March" for the C6 ZO6.

As one of the world's biggest Metallica fans I would have to say that'd be freaking incredible, but besides the insanely aggressive riffs it doesn't have much to do about the rebirth of a performance car.
I'd say Fuel would be more appropriate because it's also much more "mainstream" (
) but with Metallica's history of being extremely selective about licensing their music I doubt that would happen either.
