Who, again, is the true #1 luxury brand in the USA?

This article brings up some telling stats...
I think it may be Cadillac.

Speaking of movement, Cadillac might re-enter racing. It last competed with a prototype car in the American Le Mans series in '02.
"We'll have an announcement about that in the fourth quarter. If we do, I can tell you we'd race what we sell," he said.
This makes Chuck giddy

So we will either see CTS's racing in something like the V8 supercars of Australia or I could see Super modified XLRs in some sort of corner carving road course cars with HIGH output N*s. But that might take on the C5R/C6R
. Ohh yeah they could simply race the SRXs' and Escalades offroad.
We shall see won't we?
Amazing that Caddy can outsell Acura, what with all the cheap Integras that have been running around
Its hard for me to picture Acura as being a true luxury brand when they sold a 3 door hatchback forever that all the kids have. Glad to hear Caddy will not water down their image, but expand upon it
'Bout time!

Race what they sell, Im not taking it to mean they have to race their cars. Remember them running a Northstar in ALMS? They sell that

Same as before?

Jason E, i never viewed Acura as a "true" luxury brand too. Most are FWD (which i could live with) except the NSX, and the largest engine in the lineup is a 3.5L v-6. Even their flagship sedan has this 3.5L v-6 where as other manufacturers have v-8's and/or v-12's.
It should be noted though: Acura doesn't exist outside of the North American borders. In other parts, they're badged Honda's and are in fact rebadged Honda's here in the states. That may explain why.
Personally, i think Porsche as the top luxury brand
.
The statistic I like best in that article is that Chevrolet sells more $30,000+ vehicles than any other marque. Part of that is because they're the second best selling marque behind Ford in total sales, but it's still pretty impressive nonetheless.

Seems obvious enough to me

.I hope everyone remembers this line.
Seriously what engine would they use??? Would it be a N* based motor or would they use an LSx based motor?
