Used f-bodies around here are going for unbelievably high prices. I could sell my 3 year old Z28 for just a few thou less than I paid (though I bought it miled-out so I didn't pay full whack in the first place). Makes a guy think ...
Wish I could say the same here

Either way I owe $20,000+ on my car and the dealer said I would need $18-19K to make a deal happen at a reasonable payment.

I see non-Y87/SA 2002 V6 Package Camaro's with the same mileage as mine listed for $18-21K and the one Sports Appearence V6 I could find was listed for $22K.

Boy am I glad I found this thread! Wifey and I are looking for a car and have narrowed it down to an '04 GP GT2, or a CTS. After hearing the mumbo jumbo from the dealer, the rebates and bonus cash only apply to the '03 GP, no rebates or 0% on the '04s (this can be verified on GMbuypower.com on the "incentive" page). That said, I'm sure they will deal, as no one is gonna pay sticker in this day and age. We're buying ours w/ GMS, which is the GM employee discount, and with that, you can still get 0% OR the rebates/bonus cash...but seeing as how GP and CTS aren't offering either one (CTS offers 2.9% for 48, no rebates or bonus cash) we're gonna take our time, might even GMO one this fall and get exactly what we want.

Branden, too bad about your trade in value. It must be the 6, because the dealers here are drooling over mine, said the market is good for them right now. It gets worse too, because in a few months, your car becomes 2 yrs old instead of 1 !

Most of the current incentives will run out on June 2nd, but I expect them to be renewed and even enhanced on that date. Remember, the orignal 0% was only supposed to go on for a few months, and it's still here after almost 2 yrs. Besides, summer isn't the time GM would want to make it more difficult to buy the remaining '03s w/ the '04 models just a few months away. If you really want the GP, it couldn't hurt any to wait until after June 2nd to see what they do about the incentives, since you're getting none now anyway.

Anybody want to buy an '01 red Formula that's only spent 4 nights outside it's entire life?

I suspect incentives are going to happen fairly soon. Moving the '03's is a priority right at this moment.

I trust the stock on the ground continues to grow as folks are hooked on the incentive thing, and I don't blame them...money is money. Read into that what you may.

Today I spent a fair amount of time with the '04 GTP with the competition package... the photos don't do the car justice. It may be front wheel drive, but it's a nice car in my opinion. Well done package and it really looks good in the "flesh" to my eyes.

I'd park one next to my Z06 and I'm pretty darned hard to please. The interior is nicely layed out and not the over the top thing some Pontiacs have been in the past.

GTO is looking like a low 30's deal at this time, dealer add on is another subject and the pricing can of course change.

Final word is coming soon. Don't shoot the messenger.

As for the GP 2004 version?... the GTP is sweet. At least to my eye.

They already have $500 bonus cash on '04s, despite what GM's own website may or may not say

Tell me where so I can fly there and buy one! So far I've heard that they qualify for 0% (no), 4000 in rebates (no), bonus cash (no), and that you can combine GM Platinum card points w/ a GMS purchase (no). All turned out to be false alarms, so if you know of a place that does it.....

Haha I called the GP's GM press rep and to quote him "I think there is some kinda cash on them...I just don't know how much"...I don;t think we will see real rebates till like September.

If you have a non GM product, there is a $500 conquest money program going on. This can be applied only once on a vehicle on any Chev, Olds, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, or PONTIAC. Including the '04 GP. Also, if you are in the military, you get an extra $750, and if you already get GMS pricing, you get an extra $250 on top of the GMS price. These also apply to the '04 GP This is fact, not fiction. Also, to respond to a prior post, there is no more such thing as ordering GMO. You can order what you want when you want it, or have your local do a dealer trade, and the GMS price will be the same. (pending it's the same time of year with no model year price increases in between).

Guys, believe what you will, there IS a $500 bonus cash available from ANY dealer...at least here in New England. I am under the assumption this is a nationwide campaign.

I just sold one Tuesday and gave them a $500 rebate...I think I know what I'm talking about...

Correct on the Conquest program, but we don't have a non-GM vehicle to qualify, nor do we qualify for the military $$. That $500 bonus cash thing may be regional in the northeast, because it IS NOT available here (3 local dealers have all said no rebates or bonus cash on '04's, but it is available on the '03s $4500 total rebates on the '03s). We do get the GMS and another $250 on top of that, but it's not a rebate per se.

The most annoying part is the stupid sales associate saying that the '04's would get 0% or 4k rebates, and that you could combine GMS w/ Platinum card points...only to find out after talking to Finance that neither was correct. If he's not sure, just friggin ask!

"GM Stock", it's the employee discount for buying a car sitting on the lot. As opposed to "GMO", the employee price for ordering a car from the factory.

That, actually, is incorrect. GMO is now extinct as I mentioned in a previous post. GMS is GM employee price whether you order out or buy a in stock unit.
