I drove one of these and really like them, but will need the rebate to knock out the negative equity on mine. When do you think I will see a rebate on the 04 GP?

 

I believe it took about 6 months for Cadillac to bring CTS into the incentive mix... I'd figure something similar for Grand Prix...

 

cool...norammly I wouldn't even consider a new car so soon, but I was damn impressed with the 04 GP and I only drove a GT.

 

Ya, I have few complaints about the 04 Grand Prix overall...

1) I'm still not sure about the rear end styling... but it'll grow on me.

2) The C-Pillar shape seems odd to me, but I think that'll grow on me too.

3) There is a **** in the center console that twists (dont remember what it did) and it was one of the few interior pieces that felt 'cheap' to me... it was made of a light, cheap feeling plastic, and felt rather fragile.

4) No more Coupe, though GTO kind of takes that place...

However, I've been on record as saying the seats of the GTP I sat in were some of the best I've sat in... though I obviously didnt get a to take a long trip in them...

I think the 04 GP will be a great car...

 

Thats odd, when I visited my local Pontiac dealer on Sunday they offered me a $3500 rebate on a new 04 Grand Prix GTP before I even asked. Too bad Im not in the market for that type of car right now.

The interior is the best I have ever seen in a Pontiac ( not counting the pics of the new GTO of course)

You wanna talk resale shock, I was told that my Camaro I still owe more than $20,000 on is worth $12,000 trade in . That was painful Well there's always rebates, and the GM CardZ

 

Darth is correct. No rebate for the 2004's yet. That **** in the center, as mentioned in a previous post, is for the heads up display control. I've run the new GTP with comp. group on a track along with the Altima 3.5 and Intrepid SXT. The GTP is by far the best handling machine in the class. It's a solid piece.

 

If the new GTP moves as quick as the coupe I rented back in '99, I think you'll be really impressed over the GT (though I find pealing out in a FWD unnerving ).

 

THats why you can't beat selling it privatly.

Do you think you are going to be getting a GT or GTP?

I think the GTP Comp G's are cool, I'd love to have one with the 18" GXP rims

 

Just because Pontiac is not advertising Rebates and 0% financing on 04 Grand Prixs doesnt mean they wont do it. They are smart enough not to advertise it because they want to move out the 03's but im sure they would offer the same deal on an 04 to close the deal.

Even carsdirect.com have the 04 GTP base Msrp listed @ $26495.00 but they are selling it @ $24,364.00 ($500 below Invoice)

I really want the GTP, but could settle for the GT. The dealer said I need to sell my car privately for 19,000 to make the deal happen, and I am not so sure I can sell it for that much, what do you all think?

 

Checkout www.autotrader.com and see what the current asking price for your Camaro's model year and options. www.kbb.com might be close to giving you the correct price but www.autotrader.com is much better.

 

Sorry Branden, I don't think you would get that much for the car. I am looking for a Camaro (sorry MN6 and V8 is a requirement otherwise I would pick up yours) and what I have found is that you can get a loaded 2002 Z28 for that price. A little higher mileage SS's are going for 20 (by high mileage i mean around 25K)

M6 and the SS are holding their values more than the others ... just FYI

 

GM's story for last couple of years has been that they're only using rebates until their hot new products get in the showrooms and then they won't need rebates anymore. I guess this is an early test.

Used f-bodies around here are going for unbelievably high prices. I could sell my 3 year old Z28 for just a few thou less than I paid (though I bought it miled-out so I didn't pay full whack in the first place). Makes a guy think ...
