Cool

Since I don't see myself purchasing a new vehicle any time in the near future, I'll just hang on to my current one as long as I can.

I'm happy with it.

IF, for some strange reason, I'd be in the market for a brand new vehicle before 5th Gen comes out, I would probably have to take a very close look at the new Mustang. ;think:

The wife gets the next car, hopfully a nice sport wagon with a stickshift and decent power (or even a Diesel).

I'm several years out unless I go used so the landscape can change a lot by then...

But if it stayed the same, another Mustang or a G35 would be near the top of my list. I might consider a GTO, but probably only used. If I keep my Bullitt Mustang for my V8 fix, maybe I'll try something turbocharged, like a WRX. Maybe I'll get a convertible... It sucks being so indecisive.

I will probably be looking at either a vibe, a diesel VW, maybe a G6 (kinda doubt it), a Mazda 6 or 3 or a Sentra,or possible a used trailblazer.

The "no air and only 2 windows left working plus 120K mile GP" doesn't have too many east coast mountain bike pilgrimages left in it.

I'd consider a G6 as long as AWD and a Supercharged V6 could be had for under $28K

2. Mustang Mach1 ($25K is really intriging!!)
3. Infinity G35 coupe

Including cars that are going to be here BEFORE the 5th gen:
1. El Camino
2. 2005 Mustang V8
3. GTO

ok so its supposed to be 08 right? last i heard it was 07 But whatever rumors are rumors.

I am not a big fan of the 05 stang due to the total lack of styleing on the front of the car. i mean it looks like a pug dog. All droopy...and busted. Maybe if they toss on a hood scoop and some nice raceing stripes i might go for it...but i will prob have to wait unit the gt500 or next cobra which ever happens first.
But alot can happen in 4 years i mean the camaro might go way of the monte carlo u never know.

But when my camaro hits 100k i am gunna trade it in...its got 66k so far right now. So that gives me about 3 years or so.

1) 04 cobra
2) c5 zo6 prefered
3) Azure blue mach 1
4) 05 Stang but only if there is a cobra variant
5) GTO 421 hp package only

By that time i should be liveing in florida and not have to worry about the damn salt and snow, so the only cars on my list are pure v8 muscle.

Throw in the new Mach1/Boss 5.4 3V coming next year too. Should be around $30K for ~380hp high 12s.

Then the SVT/Shelby Stang in 2006 for high 30s

The Corvette is Chevy's halo car, the Camaro isn't. Plus, FWIW, the Corvette was dangerously being cancels a couple of times in the 90's. The C5 was originally supposed to be release in either '92 or '94, can't remeber if it was to predate or follow the F4.

Being a digruntled GM performance enthusiast is looking like a thing of the past. But no boubt Camaro enthusiasts are feeling the most pain.

I just bought myself an '04 Avalanche... while keeping my 99 Z28..

Now that the Camaro is no longer the 100% daily driver, I can start taking care of it.. (in fact this whole week its been pampered in my garage getting detailed while its raining.. and since it doesn't absolutely have to drive me to work everyday, I'm going to attempt to do all future work myself..

The Avalanche is a bigger than I really need 90% of the time, but we're planning on going camping and various outdoor stuff with friends.. plus it now opens the doors options of getting various toys to haul now.. Eevn though it uses slightly more than the Camaro, I can fill up on regular.. and even though its slow, its alot more comfortable for daily driving..

As long as I keep my 99 Z28, the next car, to basically replace Machelle's Tracker is open alot of options.. If Subaru ever releases the bigger Impresa sedan with the STi engine, like how they do in Japan, and its affordable... I can see that replacing the Tracker once its driven into the ground. (and as long as I keep my job!!!)
