What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
Current political realities and personal oppinions (no disrespect intended to the IMOs) aside, is that a bad thing? As long as the F5 sells well I can't see a problem.
Agreed, let the care mature, keep it fresh and dont rush the F6 out. Maybe its because I'm getting older???? But it seems silly to me to reinvent the wheel every 3 or 4 years. I dont mind new sheetmetal, but IMO a decade isn't all that long of a time for a chassis to be around, expecially if its good enough that only minor tweaks need to be done to keep it competitive.
As long as GM sells plenty of Cruzes and Volts, the Camaro will never be a huge impact on CAFE. I honestly expect their to be performance development on the DI V6 that in a few years the V6 will have the power of todays V8s with better fuel mileage. Only time will tell though.
Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
And lose the Camaro DNA? I'll pass, besides one of the great things about a pony car is he ability to torture average size + adults you dont really like in the back seat.
Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
I'd like to revive this old thread by asking GM to first never surrender RWD in the Camaro. But if we are going to see improvements it be in Rear head and leg room and to consider something better than a small truck or hatchback. IMHO, Something like this would be awesome. Also Lower those rear seats and let them recline way back.
again really nice concept. But dont post it in every posting.
Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
Er you do realize as configured that "concept" would have to be FWD?
Would the admins please ban this clown from the website for spamming every thread with this crap?

Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
GM I am sure got the patents on that..and Cyberpine..your a few years to late to the idea. May I present to you the 2000 Pontiac Piranha Concept. coupled with the Envoy's sliding roof this is not something you can patent.

Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
I thin current Camaro will run untill at least 2015. The interior got a refesh this year, and with all the special editions, they have been able to keep the car a hit. I think Alpha is going to have a cost problem that will make GM push off moving to it untill fuel regs make it, or cost comes down. There is also the issue of styling...how do you follow up on the current car that has sold so well.
Re: What year for the Camaro refresh? 2014?
Wow.... another blast from the past.
Camaro's likely to get revised lights and new grille before it's completely redone.
Also, expect plenty of special and limited editions.
My guess for the replacement is no earlier than the 2016 model year.
