What NEW name should the midrange Camaro have

IROC, Type LT, and Berlietta are all names that should not come back in my opinion. Since we will some day have a new Generation of Camaro why not have a new model name too.

What are some NEW model names that you guys have come up with that could go on a midrange Camaro? (Z28 & SS still at the top)

I'd suggest z28, but don't want to start a z28 vs SS debate.

How about GT? That was one designation the camaro has never used. Outside of this, i can't think of any other name.

No Type LT?

In my opinion, just keep the RS name.

If they released another IROC, it would need to be among the top modles. maybe with a road race suspension.

Kind of Like an L98.

Good suspension but without all the fancy **** you get on an SS (!leather, manual windows, !TC, !AC...)

What about a Camaro Type-R?

What’s wrong with LT? Tahoe uses that name. I think It would be fine. It would be new to my generation on the Camaro.

RS would work too. But in my mind I see an RS as the Mid-range Camaro with more visual effects. Like right above the LT.

But yeah LT or RS. Either would work for me.

How about Z14?

Well, I would really like to see RS in the line-up but what about............................let's see...............maybe Camaro GS or Camaro SX.............damn, it seems that a lot of the designations have already been done by one brand or another. I've got nothing.

I can't see more than three trim levels unless they go the route of Ford and do a couple special editions every couple years. Were that to happen, some exclusive high-HP models done by GMPD might be entertaining. But I don't think there's really a problem with the current structure: V6, V8, high-end V8. Perhaps just more separation at the top is all that's needed.

Mustang is successful with a similar lineup of V6, GT, Cobra. I don't know how much attention a "tweener" model like the Mach1 would get if it didn't have the retro styling cues and shaker hood. You'd either go GT or pay out for the Cobra. It seems not having a Corvette gives Ford this wiggleroom anyways; they have more ground to cover. The V6 and affordable GT are their bread and butter though, just as the V6 and Z28 should be for Chevy.

I'd go with RS.

To spice things up a bit how about refering to it not just as RS but also "Rally Sport" in the literature and commercials.
