What are my wheels doing on a Toyota??
What are my wheels doing on a Toyota??
OK, just a couple minutes ago I saw a commercial for the redesigned Toyota Sienna minivan. At the end they show a corner shot, and a glance at the wheels made me think.
So then I visit there website.
Sure enough, Toyota took the wheels off a 2000-up Camaro and stuck them on their Sienna XLE Limited minivan.

Striking resemblance, huh.
And I bet I'm the only goof with enough free time to notice, lol.

Hey Octane, how do you like your SLP 85mm MAF? I have one in a box in my room that Im about to install on my SS. I was just wondering what I should look out for.....and do you have a translator as well? Or is this just a quick plug and play? I've heard more thana couple of times the MAF's are kind of a crapshoot with whether you get engine codes or not.
Thanks! And sorry for hijacking your thread...just had that quick question!.

Hey Rich,
Well I can't honestly say whether I saw gains or not from the SLP 85mm MAF, but I didn't get any codes from it, so I'm leaving it on the car for now. And no, I don't have a MAFT.
Eventually when I get enough mods to require a dyno tune, I'll most likely go back to the stocker.
But yeah, put it on, see what happens. Your right, it is kinda hit-or-miss with gains and codes. If it doesn't work out, it's not too hard to find a buyer for it.

What was even worse is when Chevy put the Beretta Z26 wheels on the Lumina APV minivan.
Ya, I know Beretta wasn't the king of performance, but do you think the target buyers wanted to buy a sporty top-of-the-line Beretta and then park next to a minivan with the same wheels???
Stuff like that drives me nuts. Who approves these things?!?
Another one is when they put the Camaro wheels on the S-10...
ARGH! And they did that twice! First the 82-92 Z28, turned RS 15" wheels, then the 91-92 Z28/RS 16" wheels.

My '02 Tahoe LS was $28K... and less than $31K out the door including the extended warranty. It'll hold 9 passengers... comfortably.... and its a Chevy V8!
really? i thought tahoes started in the low 30's
then again you get tv screens and other goodies like that in the loaded version, and i think the baseline siena is like in the low 20's
so if it came down to a siena or a venture i would probaly pick the toyota... but yeah i guess a tahoe is a better buy
