A nitrous button for all base models, with the wiring , software, and plumbing already integrated into the harness , injector bosses, fuel rail, and ECM.

THAT would be a cool option!

Then, for those who want an uprated model, a wastegate control ****! It chould be calibrated to read in this scale:

Warp Speed
Force IV Tornado
Hurricane Force
Eat your competition
Valet Mode

Now, Put that on the new car & we'll have something.
Then you'd be 2Fast 2Furious!

I only want side curtain headbags, because I care about my head and I don't want to drool the rest of my life because I sustained massive head trauma. (or just die.)

Perhaps you should then forget about a sports car and just stick to Volvo station wagons! Of course, to be even safer, you could always stick to public transportation! I

It's all about perceived risk versus reward!

brake duct cooling
bigger brakes in general
a PS pump that won't puke
assorted cooler options for various oils
factory programmable shift light
various accurate gages
easily defeatable traction control.

for creature comforts.. an mp3 player and speakers and preamps that don't use wacky ratings..

Magnetic ajustable shocks like the C6's getting.
Proper rear end geometry for traction.
A real trunk.
18" wheels/tires.
"Camaro by Cheverolet" mongrammed floor mats.
HUD with tach and speedo.
A built in Fuel Pressure Gage and ETG or A/F ratio gage.
Modern evolved"SS" hood vents.
Available 5 point seat belts and seats made for them

I don't see a problem with most of this stuff, I don't see a DVD player being that big of a deal since these are fairly common now. I'd only get it if it were a DVD/MP3 player though. Heated seats are fine, but I've never really cared for them and while the HUD would be a great feature to have it's not a deal-breaker.

I would like HID lighting though, or at least take lighting into consideration when making the car, unlike the 4th gens!

The only other thing is get rid of the gaps! Needless body panel gaps and lines make certain cars look hideous (Ion anyone?).

Other than that, just give me a powerful V8 and 6-speeds. You Auto guys can have a tiptronic or whatever, just don't sacrifice a legit manual transmission for that.

oh.. i totally forgot..

floormats that solidly achor down to the floor, like latch on the corners.

No matter what I do, in my 99, the floor mat eventually creeps forward.

well I guess this car could have a few creature comforts, although im not used to that kind of thinking

after reading the other posts id say these are some simple ones:

-dual exhuast
-adjustible factory shift light is a good call
-floormats that dont move is a great idea
-guages that are accurate
-contoured seats that have room for 5pt harnesses is another good 1
-a rear end that can take launches

-against what someone else mentioned tho i want nothing bigger than 17 inch rims

-tight gaps, v8, 6speed, and NOT the nasty steering wheel from the new vette, are givens

Id say all of those are practically free if you are designing a car and just do it right. I could care less about heated seats, navigation, crazy speaker setups, hids, huds, power anything, ac... whichever, ill take it if its offered, if its heavy and expensive i dont need it. Hell, just offer another 1LE package for me

It will probably have a info center on the dash (like the vette and pick-ups)

Wouldn't it be great if there was a mode that would display actaul sensor values (MAP, IAC, IAT, Timing, etc. etc), and display error codes without a reader.

Maybe even a "secret tuner mode", that allows you to change PCM setings, such as timing, fan temps, axle ratios etc.

-dual exhaust and a good rearend ... (Gee, theres an idea GM )
-I kinda think a digital dashboard would be cool (optional)
It would have digital tachometers and speedometers, that would be an actual guage... like on a computer screen at a dyno(and illuminated like one ). And it would also have the digital readout, like the exact RPM and MPH you are turning. This of course would have to be more accurate than what we had in the 4th gens. The digital dashboard should also monitor the car more extensively... like a shift light, air/fuel, etc.

This idea was tried with Corvette from 1984 to 1989, and pretty much panned.

Then the interior redo of 1990 through 1996 had a bit of a hybrid... analog gauges with a digital speedo...

The current Corvette keeps the digital parts in the D.I.C., and seems to have gone over better.

The major problem with digital gauges is the 'delay' factor (Example... smash the throttle on my 95 Vette, and the speedo would go from 0 to 4 to 8 to 12 to 15 to 19... etc... there is a approx 1 second time setting for updates, otherwise the gauge would be very annoying to try to read.).... where analog gauges were immediate in their reading, because there is no need for a time delay with a needle.

How about an A/C compressor that doesnt kick the bucket at 70k miles? (Had two do it now... )

Really, the only way Id take anything but a manual would be a Ferrari style computer shifted manual...No autos of any form. Even manually shifted ones.

They should be availible though.

No DVD. MP3 support though. No LCD screens. NO ONSTAR (I wish) HIDs would be cool. No HUD, no extraneous electronics. Power options are fine though. But make em OPTIONS. Not the old "Barebones or Fully loaded."

What did the 4th gen have...Two options packages? Comon. Thats one of the things I think Camaro NEEDS. Options.

I'd also like to see a wider color offering... more than just 7 or so colors....

Assuming more than just 2 models, like the past, are built where Camaro is built, maybe this will allow 10-12, even 14 color choices... :crossed fingers:

Ok Im thinking they can engineer something better than that. Im not talking about digital dashes like weve had in the past. They suck. Im willing to bet they can come up with some 50x that good with todays technology. And Like i said... "digital analog" gauges(the entire gauge would disappear when you turn the ignition off) as well as digital readout... The entire reason I want them digital, is so they react faster than analog gauges can.
