that was what i was going to say, zr1, but i dont like the grand sport name, because to use that name corectly i think it would need to have the blue/wite stripes combo, and i dont think that this car should only come in one color scheme. i kinda like stingray, but its not a new enough name. i dont like z06r because i think this car is going to be completly seperate from the z06 and should have a seperate name as well

In reality though Im not too much of a fan of pulling names outa the past . If any old name would emerge , I always though the ZR1 had nice ring to it . But in my mind the only ZR1 , is a C4 with a DOHC ....they were awesome cars for their time . The Grand Sport should be left alone too , it worked in 96 because it was a one time ....one year , short run special car . Sting ray sounds cool , but some of the Vettes that wore that badge were less than thrilling . This car will be yet another milestone for the vette , so IMO ...new legend , new name entirely .
It might be kinda cool if it were just called Zora ....possibly could be kinda cool in Enzo kinda way ....maybe .

FWIW, I thought the "Sting ray" was being tossed around as an idea based off the Solstice/Sky platform. (Don't worry gang, an LSx V8 does fit.)
Although I think Z06R or Z07 would work to distinguish the top Vette, I did vote for SS.
