Not really...maybe early on they'll have an advantage, but Ford is heavy into some hydrogen vehicles right now too.

 

RWD will make a big comeback.

I see all those full size SUV owners going back to big RWD sedans. If you remeber the land yacht died back in the 80's and 90's, right as everybody was going to SUV's. I think they will come back, especially since baby boomers will get old and tired of hiking into an SUV.

I also think that the import trend isn't going away. It may lose some of its current popularity though. Expect to see them move away from FWD and go to AWD, with everything getting a turbo. Also expect to see many people abaondoing ship and going to domestics if we can get some affordable cars with a V8 out.


Also, whoever comes out with a $20,000 RWD 2 and 4 door tiny econobox(think very small with a 4 banger) will clean house. Although this car would hinge on styling and being fun to drive. Maybe a Kappa based car(hint, hint)

 

The one trend that has come true is the older lux cars. They fairly cheap , have high content, big v8's that are not the fastest but will go down the road with auth.. And also have the " BLING BLING" facter esp with rims and 8 tv's in the car.

Well I guess I'm proof I'm 26. I have a 97 Deville with a 300 hp v8 that paid 7k for with only 85k miles, and she looks new. no tv's, but want better rims.

 

RWD 300 hp V8 cars that get 25mpg(or better) and cost around what an LS1 Z28 did and seating position like a regular car(not sports car). Think about it cheap, good gas mileage, affordable, and fast daily driver.
