possible VW spy car i saw over thanksgiving

Saw it at the El Toro border patrol/weigh in station in line. The 2 station wagons were the only one in covers so i got out my camera and started taking pictures. It was the only car on it that was covered like that. The rest were vw sedans.

excellent work... maybe that is the Audi SUV thingy.. the Allroad Quattro. Other than that I'm drawing a blank as to what it might be.

it doesn't show alot, but since the quality is so good you could probably sell them to someone like autoweek

I dunno. Maybe they are fitted with experimental flux capacitors.

They wouldnt have a 2002 car in a cover like that, if that's what your getting at by the link.

But lord, VW has gone to the extreme with their covers if this is what they plan to test that in. Could be a new Toureg, though the current one just came out. I could have somebody check the books per se and report back if VW has anything coming out in terms of SUV's over the next few years.

Re: possible VW spy car i saw over thanksgiving

Its proportions indicate that it's clearly not Allroad, and it wouldn't necessaritly be covered in VW emblems - more like Audi, or four circles.

2002 Jetta? No point.

It looks a lot like a VW Jetta, I'm thinking maybe next model Jetta. We had pictures of the new Jetta sedan floating around here some time ago, maybe this is the station wagon of it.

Obviously I meant that it was a 2002 specifically, and not a Jetta wagon in general. Obviously 3 year old cars are transported around like that.

I think you have a 99.976% chance of being right. I should have went to VW's website instead of doing a google image search.
