What do u want your 5th gen to look like?

1. Retro, evolutionary, or revolutionary?
2. Boxy (like R34 Skyline) or round (like 4th gen)
3. Top: B pilar that goes verticle (4th gen) or one that goes along the profile (like cavelier)
4. Hood: cowl, ram air, shaker, etc.
5. Wheels: 10 spoke, 5 spoke, etc.
6. Hatchback or full trunk?
If you have anymore go ahead and say them

I still say if they make that one modled after the 69 Ill be first in line. Before I saw that i never would have said I wanted a retro model. But I love that concept
Speaking from the perpective of the younger buyer, (22) I think the retro '69 styled Camaro is perfect. A lot of us who are real car guys dream of having a cherry '69 but don't have the means, availability, or sometimes the skills to buy/find/restore a classic. With a retro styled 5th gen, a lot of guys can get the next best thing. The retro styling won't just appeal to guys who grew up with the '69, I personally would give my left nut for a '69 SS in decent condition. If I can get a 5th gen Camaro that is similar in styling, with modern technology as far as suspension/engine/safety... consider me sold.

Everything that's available in a top line Trailblazer should be available in the 5th Gen, and the price of a full load convertible should be about the same as a full load Trailblazer.
An evolution of the 3rd gen!! I know, I know, people say that's what the 4th gen was... and in rough proportions, yes I agree.. but it's overall shape it was quite different. E.g. the 3rd gen had strongly defined creases, esp. along the entire length of it's flanks whereas the 4th gen has smooth radius curving flanks.
Though I totally dig the styling of all f-bods, when pushed to pick, I'd have to say specifically that the 3rd gen Camaros (esp. the later ones 86 to 90) are the toughest and most 'manly' looking f-bodies ever made IMO. So take that car, tweak it by slightly rounding off some of the sharp edges very slighly in the same way that say the current BMW e46 M3 coupe rounds of the edges of the BMW e36 M3 - but still keeping the boxier look.
This is of course a pipe dream - GM aren't about to go and make a 5th gen that looks like a technically inferior, 20+ yr old car and one that some some uneducated twits, says "Guido".

1. Retro, evolutionary, or revolutionary?
I vote for revelutionary, or a very progressive elolution. I like the '69 model too, although I like the '70-1/2 better with it's curves. That was a revolutionary styled car. My motto to the design team is to 'tip my hat to the past while moving forward'.
2. Boxy (like R34 Skyline) or round (like 4th gen)
Mostly round with some sharp egdes for definition
3. Top: B pilar that goes verticle (4th gen) or one that goes along the profile (like cavelier)
Profile
4. Hood: cowl, ram air, shaker, etc.
Only if funtional
5. Wheels: 10 spoke, 5 spoke, etc.
I like the latest SS's 10 spoke design, and you can hardly ever disaggree with the classic 5 spoke.
6. Hatchback or full trunk?
Trunk with pass thru for structure.
No 1/4 rear doors. I think that's too many gaps ruining the body lines.
I'd keep the windshield rake fairly steep to keep a sleek exteroir line and fighter-jet feel to the inside. Try to hid the wipers as much as possible.
Slightly shorter doors.
Driver oriented cockpit design (like the '93-'97s).
IRS.
A 'track', 'ILE', whatever model.
Pointed bullet like nose. Slightly shorter overhangs.
Maybe differential models with different taillights (i.e, base cars get plain red while Z28 and SS get Euro spec tri color).

Evolutionary.
2. Boxy (like R34 Skyline) or round (like 4th gen)
Rounded, but with some sharp lines for definaition.
3. Top: B pilar that goes verticle (4th gen) or one that goes along the profile (like cavelier)
Verticle. I is a definate styling trait that has followed the car in some fashion since 1970.
4. Hood: cowl, ram air, shaker, etc.
Only if functional.
5. Wheels: 10 spoke, 5 spoke, etc.
Whatever looks best. 5 spokes tend to fit the styling more often than not, but I agree that the 10 spoke 2000+ SS wheels were some of the best. Of course, you could view that those wheels as 'double bladed 5-spokers'
6. Hatchback or full trunk?
I am leaning toward hatch... but I am not totally opposed to a trunk...

Agreed. The 5th Gen should be evolutionary with some heritage cues. All out retro is a recipe for failure. I want a new car that looks new, not something from the 60's. Don't get me wrong, i love the 1st Gens, but the 5th gen shouldnt be the 1st.

Just kind of wondering bc, atleast to me, is there really a general concensus on to what we want? and will the mass public (non enthusiests) want? etc.
1. Retro, evolutionary, or revolutionary?
evolutionary
2. Boxy (like R34 Skyline) or round (like 4th gen)
not really applicable, i want round but with hard creases, sort of 3rd gen like with 4th gen mixed in
3. Top: B pilar that goes verticle (4th gen) or one that goes along the profile (like cavelier)
like someone else said, verticle, i hate all those cars who do profile, it's just plain ugly and doesnt follow the camaro formula
4. Hood: cowl, ram air, shaker, etc.
if functional, or if it needs to differentiate the z28 from base, then go ahead and put one on
5. Wheels: 10 spoke, 5 spoke, etc.
either or, just make them look good (which i think they always have)
6. Hatchback or full trunk?
i'm actually leanin towards a trunk for the old school look, but hatch is nice to have

Profile ...for visibility.
Only if it's a functional performance improver.
Simple and attractive. TT2's would be a good start.
Trunk with pass thru for structural reasons.

I would perform, assasinations to get a shaker hood on a 5th gen bird but I dont want one on a Camaro. A slight stylish functinal cowl would work for me on a camaro.
