Which Chevy Badge would you put on the Commodore? Keep in mind youve got cash in hand today and are ready to buy. What name would you want on your Commadore? Also feelings of It has a Chevelle/Nova/etc. name but doesnt look like one so Im not buying it. I thought it would be cool to see what people think.

Maybe a new name might be best, so as to avoid GTO-itis, but if it has to be a heritage name I would prefer Chevelle, or perhaps something a little more obscure like Biscayne or Bel-Air.

I was going to put the Bel Air in there actually. I just thought that even the 2004 Bel Air concept didnt have the Bel Air feel with out the fins. To me Bel Air is the 57 period. I just didnt think anyone would go for that. I could be wrong. Its all in fun.

They've already got badging and name recognition with Lumina. Why change it?

I dont have a good image in my head when I think of Lumina at all for any production year. NASCAR doesnt count. There is really good name recognition with Chevelle but question would be does it look like a Chevelle and worthy of the name? I think so. Commadore is also a good name thats been with the car from day one as she sits four doors and all and would be a chance to have the name recognized globally. Im aware of the G8 Moniker but as a Pontiac, I almost rather have the Pontiac Commadore and putting G8 in the poll would have defeated the purpose.

Theoretically if it were a Chevy in the states , it should be Impala . Its kinda moot though as Pontiac is the one getting this car . Chevy will be using the US version of Zeta not yet seen and not entirely the same as AU version .

More so than the Holden Caprice? Based on the 60's and early 90's impala I would consider the Commadore too small for an Impala.

Lumina,

Ive heard enough crap about the Charger 4-door so keep it simple. Keep it away from the Chevelle. Commodore isn't enough of a Chevy name to me.

Maybe call the Chevy 2-door a Monte.

The Caprice name doesnt really stir up to many souls . Lot of old folks would happy though , I dont think that image will ever escape the Caprice name in the states . At least the Impala has been and is a sucessful current car , the name really has no bad stigma to it throughout its entire lifespan .

Lots of people wanna see Chevy make a *** kicking Impala
Lots of people make fun of blue hairs driving Caprices

Hehe

When replaced with worthwhile RWD product, the Impala/ Monte combo would be just fine.

I'd say Monte Carlo because the old Monte's and Grand Prixs had similar body styles and I think the hood and body lines look like brethren of the Grand Prix...Doesn't look like a Chevelle or Nova, and Lumina could be a minivan right?
