And you have every right to considering the your efforts to make it a great event for everyone that attends.

Thanks for
• making/taking the time to be there and available.
• bringing the cars down that those of us living outside the show circuit wouldn't otherwise see.
• Coming over for the 5th gen forum breakfast ...I was rather dissappointed by how few from here ...that WERE at the event ...made the effort.

p.s. Is there even a precedent of a manufacturer dropping BIG news, unannounced, at a small gathering?

p.p.s. Do you know if there was any "hardware" for me on Sunday?

Damn right. It was even said not to get your hopes up because it was not 5th gen related. Some people read WAY too much into something said that that should, and yet ignore a plain statement.

It is getting to the point that he can't say ANYTHING without someone trying to "read between the lines" and jumping to all kinds of crazy false assumptions and then jumping all over him when the assumption is wrong.

We are luckier than you all think to have him post here in the first place so ease up on him or he might just say screw it and quit posting here completly. I know I would anyway.

Some of you folks should really take things at face value and stop making assumptions, it just makes things hard on Scott and makes it hard to handle the truth when those assumptions are wrong.

If it WAS going to be 5th gen related, it would probably not be at an enthusiat show. It would probably be done as a press release by GM directly. And in light of that, don't expect anything for a while yet, if it even happens. I know Scott VERY well and I know that if he can tell us something, he will. That I can promise you. Let things happen as they do, forcing the issue will not make the wheels turn any faster.

Furthermore, I was there the entire weekend and only a couple of people came up and talked to me. I see that all these people were there, and I didn't get to meet hardly any of them. I am somewhat bummed about that. I really wanted to meet some of you folks.

Heh.. frankly, some of you guys don't know what the hell your talking about..

Those of us who put shows together know Scott makes every effort possible to bring GM support to these events. The man has always gone far above and beyond not only for the show organizers but the enthusiasts on and individual level for as long as I've had the pleasure of working with him. To suggest otherwise certainly tells me your not getting out there to these events and participating and if you are.. you're not paying very much attention.

Scott did something very special for a fortunate young lady... it's his nature and if you'll take a second to remember the first time you got behind the wheel of your Fbody, if you couldn't be there that's a shame because it was cool as hell to watch.

I think everybody should give Scott and the sisters a break... I remember very well what it's like to first slide into a V-8 Camaro... I just bought my Z the end of July, and I still get excited every time I get into the car. If I had gotten it the way Scott and that nurse's sister gave her the SS, I'd be stoked for life. Sure, I'd also like to see the next Camaro, but these things take time. I would much rather wait a few years and get the best they can produce, than have something thrown together in a short amount of time to appease the eager enthusiasts. I just take comfort in the fact that Scott is still working on projects at GM. There are the pure at heart fanatics like us who are involved in GM enough to keep the Camaro alive. In the meantime, I have my 2002 Z and the availability of enough aftermarket parts to keep me happy for at least a few years.

I understand that this board lives, eats, breaths 5th gen. But sometimes you have to take a break and step back and realize that the F-body story is much more than a car. The people behind the scenes make it happen and keep the legend alive.

Scott's taking care of us....I wish I could've been there, but the Navy said no, I have more important things on my plate....

I remember my first time behind the wheel of a Camaro though! It was a '97 Red V6. I eventually bought a '98, but when I brought that car back from the test drive....Let's just say it's a good thing it had scotch guard. I had to wipe up the puddle of drool. Even with my V8, I'll never forget the experience.

Hats off to all you wonderful people that bring these cars and experiences to the faithful!!!

IM just defending my post here.. and all I can say is that alot of people here are really hoping for something..ANYTHING..and sometimes they let off steam for something like this..but my post was to Red..he ripped into us..and like I said it wasnt to bad..yes he could leave ..thats his choice...but he does know whats going on at GM before anyone else on here does and hes got to remember that..all we are seeing are pics of the NEW stang..RWD HEMI this and fast that...

tell you the truth we are getting a little weary to say the least if GM is listening to us???..in about 2007..I will be looking for a new car..the 94Z will be on race or show duty and I need a daily driver..and if there is no GM alternative I would look for something more...Mustang..sure why not my fiance has one..nice car..the 2005 is sweet....or ever a dodge...

maybee the wheels are not turning fast enough but it makes us hard not to understand..it is frustrating!!!

sorry guys it just is...and posting these things gets us talking and gets some "anger" out ;D

I apologize!!!
