Well, the OLD folks seem to love the Scion...

These two dolts say the Scion van-thing has "universal appeal."
"Cool for the old crowd"....uh, I thought the target market was young 20-somethings?
Come to think of it, I have NEVER seen these two give a Japanese car less than 4 stars out of 5. Amazing!

yup.. just like any car review, its mostly opinion, with a little fact mixed in.. They seem to be biased towards import cars too.. I guess the people that closely follow their reviews are the same people that base their car purchases off of "Consumer Reports"...
I rarely read their column anymore. They spend too much time with their phoney back-and-forth routine and rarely include any meaningful insights.
And I too have noticed their preference for all things imported.

Didn't seem to matter here did it?Oddly if GM owned Scion...I bet they would have ripped it apart.
where do they find these people? I suspect they are carefully handpicking these people to give good reviews..

they are all tools.
[quote]"At the Detroit Auto Show, I thought the Scion was cheesy-looking," Stoner admitted. "But now it's growing on me. Put on 18-inch tires, tint the windows, put a little spoiler back there and you've got something customized. You've made it yours."
"I thought the Scion was too boxy. But now I like it better than the Element. It's more of a tuner car that you can fix up the way you like. Besides, now I think the boxy look is cool. "

Didn't seem to matter here did it?And I agree...anything thats a Toyota is great to people like this...
I've seen a couple of xB's driving around. They look pretty fine in person, a lot better than the Element. And the Element seems to have no problem selling. Oddly, I haven't seen the xA around, and that's the one everyone on here says they like.
So far I've seen 3 out here in LA, and none were driven by anyone resembling youth. I think johnnysocal made the same observation here some time ago, so I think it's safe to say the verdict's in.
