Are we getting a RWD MC SS and Impala??

I read in Motor Trend awhile back they had confirmed both of these would go RWD for '06, then I remember reading here or somewhere else that they were staying FWD....does anyone know for sure?

Impala & Monte Carlo will be restyled for 2004, retaining FWD.

Initially, Both were to be reengineered on a RWD chassis in 2006. Monte Carlo's future isn't certain & Impala has seen a pretty big sales spike recently. But there WILL be a RWD sedan for sure within 3 years at Chevrolet & probally Pontiac as well (too many people inside & suppliers are saying that to be false), just don't know if it will still be called Impala. Also, there will most likely be a RWD coupe since GTO (as part of an expanded coupe line) seems to be destined to be made in the US no later than 2007. Again, whether it'll be called Monte Carlo, or if the name will be completely dropped, no telling yet.

When did this happen? Will it be Sigma based by then?

So the Impala will be "B-Body-like" again, I hope.

Pretty much repeating what GuionM said.... MC gets a styling freshening for 04, and the SS gets the SuperCharger on the 3800...

RWD MC is a possibility for 07, but nothing confirmed.

Forgot about that blower. Should be a pretty fast Monte.

Think about trading up Darth?

I might think about it, but I doubt I'll dump my car after only a year or less...

I'd probably get hammered with depreciation with only keeping it for one year!
